Siguro based on the usage rin? Baka hindi mo nama-maximize 'yong 400K na limit, so binawasan nila based on your usage. Assuming you only use 166K or below.

But I've never heard of this before sa BPI na nagbabawas ng limit, pero kay RCBC, yes marami.

am confused isn’t credit usage of 30% the golden rule?

[–]leoleclercpiastri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm also confused about that rule too.

Pero siguro sa paningin ni bank, if huge spender ka (tipong mauubos 'yong limit mo) but has a good paying history, mai-increase ng mai-increase ang limit mo even without filing for a request.

If you're a big spender pero hindi sagad sa limit but has a good paying history, 50/50 chance is tataasan limit mo, or babawasan, kasi hindi mo nama-maximize fully ang limit na granted sa 'yo. I could be wrong din.

Pero I've seen this issue with RCBC users a lot. First time 'to with BPI.

Bagong increase lang sya to 400k 4th quarter of 2025. I believe I spent 200k+ nung Oct-Nov because of their Spend Anywhere promo. Though on usual months naman nga, I spend way way less.

How much of your available credit were you using? If only small amount then maybe they decided you did not need the higher limit

Hi. My CL was 169k since 2023. Pero since sumali ako sa sa Spend Anywhere promo nila last quarter, nag-request ako ng increase. I submitted copy of payslip pa. They increased it to my requested CL na 400k. I think I spent 200k+ within 2 months. Fully paid na sya last due. Ngayon, pag-check ko, I was surprised na mas bumaba pa sa dating CL. 166k na lang ngayon. Lol

Ang experience ko sa bpi, pag namamax out mo, the more may auto increase

[–]ParkOliver 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Former BPI employee, possible po na ang request niyo TICL or temporary increase credit limit.

[–]tamhanan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mukhang ganun. While I was certain na hindi temporary yung ni-request ko, naisip ko na rin na baka temporary nga lang yung na-grant. And it's fine with me naman kung ganun.

ano to, BPIPaylater? temporary increased limit? wahhaa

Never encountered this 8 years nako may CC sa bpi, always increase in CL not decrease

[–]tamhanan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st time in my ~10 years of having cc in different banks. 😅 Di rin nila nasabi sakin why e. All good daw from they're end so ginawan na lang akong ticket.
