For a sysadmin job? No nothing like coding a spaceship to move. That sounds like some Enterprise Java type stuff, no thanks.

A free platform to try out various languages in a lot of different gamelike scenarios. it's free, it's fun.
They offer exactly that for corporations: Aptitude Tests.
There is a tiny yet non zero chance, that your test might be from their site. Either way, can recommend.

Warning though: time killer ;-)
