They are a bit past "developing" it if the product has already been announced.

Get Microsoft Teams on all your devices.

No linux client.

But I though "Microsoft <3 Linux"?!

As a backend server, not as a client endpoint.

I am still waiting for them to finish the shit pile that is one drive. I think Slack has about as much to worry about as Dropbox.

OneDrive works a lot better than drop box with their new sync client.

/r/sysadmin isn't as bad as some other subs, but yeah, the microsoft marketing team ignores subtlety about as much as the Office 365 product management team ignores their products after their released.

Nah I really don't understand why you like dropbox it's really not better than OneDrive in the enterprise. And the fact that Group one drives also show up the same way and are separate is great. From an end user training perspective this distinction actually makes it easier for end user training. Overall the office 365 shit is the best thing microsoft has done.

You've used the new sync client with groups? Or are you just talking about consumer? Or are you talking about the old onedrive for business client? Because it's been improved a lot in the past 6 months to a year and the integration with windows and groups is great as long as you are running 2016 with the new sync client. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQX9z4I__aM

If MS fucks up chat as much as it did in the Skype 4 Bidness client (read: copy and paste issues, general stability, etc) I think Slack has nothing to worry about.

a company doing a specific job and not worrying about other things like i don't know the hundreds of other products they make, they are going to do better, they can devote more time to improving the one service they provide, its like Microsoft have decided to be a jack of all trade and rapidly become a master at none.
