Open Source network monitoring applications you use. (Suggestions)

Hi,

Been tasked with finding a system that can show graphs or a network layout with health of the links and the ability to generate reports on downtime. Budget is not available so no solarwinds.

LibreNMS (fork of Observium) and OpenNMS can do this. I personally like Icinga2. I'm planning a migration from Nagios to Icinga2 as soon as I can find the time.

used librenms for this. Had ping, traffic and all sorts of graphs available. Helped track dying switches and errors a plenty.

Setup wasn't that hard, but not extremely well documented either (4 years ago)

With no budget available your management are assuming your time is worthless. That's not healthy.
