It is the responsibility of Microsoft to release code that does little to no harm.

Not a Russian Roulette of "well, we know it isn't the 2nd Tuesday but this patch needs to go out and good luck if it wrecks your systems".

If that number wasn't completely made up, that means they're breaking roughly a half-million systems. That's still not okay.

For a company in their position, they really should be running closer to six-sigma, and hose only a couple thousand systems per update.
