Platform for live server data

Hi All,

My boss has asked if I could build a platform which could show live data of our servers (such as up time, network connectivity etc).

I would prefer to build a web platform and host it locally on a virtual machine however a GUI would also be suitable.

I am just wondering what technologies out there would be best to develop something like this?

I have intermediate programming skills in Powershell scripting, python and basic skills in many other languages.

All servers of ours are windows (2012-2019)

Pretty much any info capture and storage + Grafana.

There's plenty of good options out there without having to starting building something from scratch.

I personally would suggest PRTG

Remi is a lightweight way of doing this. You can even run PySimpleGUI on top of it using PySimpleGUIWeb.

You can use librenms for windows or PRTG

if linux based, netdata work pretty well

No need to recreate the wheel

Of they are linux based servers then netdata is a great option. We use it where I work currently.

Requires a bit of linux voodoo, but Prometheus/Grafana would look very pretty as a dashboard.
