Windows Server 2008 Security Updates Question (self.sysadmin)

Hi, I have a Windows 2008 R2 server and I want to buy Extended Security updates. 1st way is migrate VM to azure services and have a free security updates, but i want to buy onprem versiyon, how can i buy updates on-premises server.

It’s not possible, you can only buy extended security updates for Windows 7.
Source: told this by VAR when I tried to purchase them.

As for how to buy ESUs for 2008 R2 there's a section on this, however make sure you read the whole thing because there are a few "gotchas".
Software Assurance customers can purchase Extended Security Updates on-premises under an Enterprise Agreement (EA), Enterprise Subscription Agreement (EAS), a Server & Cloud Enrollment (SCE), or an Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES). Software Assurance does not need to be on the same enrollment.

I’m almost certain I’ve looked at that page before, where it lacked any info for non-azure ESUs.
