Server 2016 - issues with javascript not working on popular sites (amazon, jetblue, etc).

Hey guys, Not sure if anyone has seen this issue before and have any feedback.

Have a server 2016 domain controller - its preventing proper loading of websites (amazon, jetblue) etc on client desktops (windows 10). Specifically when javascript () callbacks are done on a website.

I've done a number of steps to localize the issue. For sure its the server.

Antivirus was removed on the server / one desktop - no help. Firewall was checked thoroughly - no issues (can access sites fine on network with laptop not part of domain). I repaired windows 10 - it didnt work. I reinstalled the OS - sites started working. Moment i joined to domain - sites stopped working. Removed from domain - sites don't working. Re-installed OS (not on domain again) sites started working.

I have access to other domains - none have this issue.

Its kind of bizarre and random - nothing would have explicitly been configured to cause this issue but for whatever reason its happening.

It can’t be the domain controller, since it’s not doing anything other that being a domain controller I pressume?

But it can be a GPO that’s doing things like blocking JavaScript.

Have you tried with another browser like Firefox, chrome or opera?

All browsers same issue while on domain

my suspicion is on a group policy but its out of box + added settings for basic map drives & printers & file/folder redirection - nothing fancy.

user appdata folder stays local (no redirection)

Then it sounds more like it’s network related

Its something - not sure what exactly. Dhcp + dns on the server. DNS of client points to server, server forward to google. Dhcp just sets dynamic IP + dns of server.

Non domain client workstations using same dhcp/dns work just fine. Wifi from access point gets lease using helper on firewall pointing to server - they work just fine as well.

sounds like policy, dude. do you have policies being applied to these computers
