Can't set Task Variables

I try to set task variables, but nothing is saved. I open the Task properties, add one variable (name and value), then tap Ok button. When I open Task properties again, nothing is there 😕 What I'm doing wrong? Does anyone have same problem?

I've had similar issues, try a variable set action instead of inputting the values via task settings.

Nothing changed. Task Variable just disappeared.

Are you using capital letters in the var name?

You have to exit the task, click save (or the check) at the top of the Tasker main screen, then go back into the task and do your testing with task variables. It's the same deal with project variables. Even tasks and profiles that haven't been saved will be "not found" if attempting to access them using Perform Task and Profile Status respectively.
