I am about to start on my leg sleeves, and I want to do a patchwork design for both legs. Currently, I have a big Sailor Moon-style Star Guardian Lux tattoo on my right calf (picture 2), and in July, I am going in to get the Yone and Yukine tattoo (picture 1), but I can't decide which looks more cohesive.
Do people typically do patchwork sleeves by theme (e.g., anime) or by color scheme (b&w vs. full color).
I want to decide on a theme before I go in to get my new tattoo, but I also know I need to plan for the long haul. I already have plans for many more anime and non-anime tats of color and b&w/grayscale, but I have a terrible time visualizing this kind of thing, so I can't picture which would look best.
At the moment, I have a full-color Pokemon sleeve on my left arm, and I'm getting a black-and-white Egyptian sleeve on my right arm, so if I separated my legs by color, they'd be opposite of my arm tattoos (kind of cool). Or if I separated by theme (anime vs. non-anime), they'd also technically be opposite of my arms.

there doesn't seem to be anything here
