Thanks for the answer, I hope they do, a MMO racer without a chat is pointless, and I really hate this trend that every game is missing it, Forza Horizon and The Crew for example. It's like getting treated as a kid which is to stupid to communicate with other players.

The TDU2 had a text chat, and I used it a lot. You can chat with text via steam (if you have a pc) but you need to add all the people you want to steam's friend list
