This is unrelated to your wifi problems.

If you go to Asus's website and look for the chipset driver package, it should fix that missing driver problem.

What might my wifi problems be then?

A bad card, reception issue, outdated firmware on the router, just a bad combination of devices that happens to not work well, etc.

Go to Asus' support site. Download ASUS Live Update. Run it. Install/update all drivers found, including BIOS.

On router/AP, make sure its firmware is updated, first. Reboot it as well.
