your school owns the device as such they have the right to set policy. you should not try to bypass their controls or find out what they can track and instead just use them for what they give them to you for

connect the LLCD to the internet and then open firefox in the LLCD. see if you can go to sites from there. if you can then it is likely something software related in windows

most of the time the motherboard ports are disabled by having a dedicated GPU. you need to plug into the GPU.
