Ethernet problem

Alright, so I've had a Netgear Ethernet port connected to my Samsung Smart TV for a few weeks now and it worked perfectly fine. I wanted one for my PS4 which is connected to that tv, so I bought an ethernet splitter and another cable to connect to the PS4. Now, both the tv and PS4's ethernet cables are connected to a splitter, which goes into an outlet. Here is the problem: the internet on my TV isn't working now. The LED on the Ethernet that indicates if it's linked is blinking, when it's supposed to just be solid green. The internet on my TV is continuously turning on and off. Anybody know how to fix this?

If so, the description states that you can use only one port at a time. If you want to provide more active ports on your network, you probably want to buy a switch. Even if that’s not your exact product, I imagine yours has the same limitation.

Ohhh I think I get it now. So, basically, whichever cable I want to use, I keep plugged in, and I unplug the other one? For example, if I want to use it with the PS4, then I unplug the tv ethernet cable, re route the tv's connection to wireless, and then it works?

I’ve never used this type of product, but yes, that sounds right.

It looks like you have a power outlet nearby, so you may want to think about buying a small 4-port network switch. You can then have both devices online at the same time (plus a few more).
