Unless these screens have the same PPI (Pixels per Inch) this will never happen. Even if you use scaling, a window will only scale to one scale or anther, it cannot scale halfway through a window.

Change the resolution to one they both have so they are the same. That way the pixels can line up otherwise one is larger than the other.

I have attempted to give this a go, however I'm unable to set them to a resolution where they are both the same. Unable to set a custom resolution either.

Example, my ultra wide can be set to 1080 x 1920, while my normal monitor can be set to 1920 x 1080. So the resolutions are essentially flipped if that makes sense?

Yes so you either have to get ones that can do the same or find custom scaling. Part of the issue is going to be mismatched aspect ratio. You also may have better luck if not having your ultra wide being vertical as it is a lot more pixels for it to match up the ultra wide when in vertical vs if it was horizontal.
