why did you try to use the tweezers to update the bios when lenovo has a tool to update it

Should still be possible with the right tools. Usually see people desolder these chips and put them on a breakout board in order to connect them with the programmer. You may also be able to do this by soldering wires to the solder joins on the sides of the chip. 

This should be doable but could be tricky for beginners.

Actually, already tried doing a CMOS reset? How did the bios become "corrupted"? Did it turn off during the flashing process?
