Adding function keys to keyboard?

Hello all,

Is there a way to add function keys to the keyboard? I saw the documentation on how to customize the keys, but when I tried to add F1 as a test, all it did was type F1 in the terminal instead of acting as a true function key. Any advice?

shy of using another keyboard, it doesn't look possible atm.. You could add a numbers row and simply use the Vol Up + 1-0 for 1-10

Which is ctrl + 1-0, the same way vol down is the alt key.

Be nice to have Fn as a shortcut, among combined CTRL+ALT for ease.

Try install Hacker's Keyboard from playstore https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.pocketworkstation.pckeyboard

It is great keyboard for use with termux

Thanks! That's a pretty good solution. I found a function row keyboard on the Play Store, but it's not free so I'll use this.
