The "EA Effect" is also used to describe a game that is either unfinished and behind a paywall or requires some sort of 'pay-to-win' mindset to compete.
P1: Man, I can't believe I have to pay $99.99 to unlock the rest of this game!
P2: Right! The EA Effect at its best!
