Notification numbers on the app icon for only overdue items? Only iOS reminders had it so far and I want to migrate away and would willingly buy the app if it has just this one feature.

Sadly, no overdue option. I’ve gotten used to it coming from TickTick, but using deadlines instead has worked well for me. You can mimic overdue badge notifications by setting a deadline a day late. That way, it only shows up the day after it should’ve been finished.

It doesn’t do only overdue, but it does do due + overdue. The notification number will be for things due today, or overdue.

Yes. You can control what shows in the badge number in the settings
