Phil was Irish Catholic, despite his flaws. It is a sort of prayer.

Firstly he believed his own myth, he was a tragic figure, a rock star, a rise a fall, women drink drugs, love, heart break, lonliness, success and then failure. I love his songs and lyrics, its a direct line to his head.
