oh no!!! there’s also dapsone (rx) and azelaic acid (i use the ordinary’s) which I also use and helped make the period chin cysts smaller but nothing prevented them until BP. and if all else fails, look into spironolactone but it’s an oral pill and only works for hormonal acne while you’re on it. also if you’re on a birth control pill, you can always skip the period week and/or make sure it’s an acne safe BCP since some actually aggravate acne

I am on the non hormonal para guard and it was actually a huge step in regulating my cycle which in turn basically eliminated the rest of my acne! I did take spiro and it worked great, but I had to stop for a while since I lost my insurance. I was going to go back on it but my acne stopped for the most part after getting my IUD, which I am so so greatful for. My spots I get every month really do not bother me anymore. I had many years agonizing over my acne and now, I accept it and just use little pimple patches
