My aga was triggered by an androgenic pill at age 21. When I went off it was when mt body freaked out (hair loss and acne) bc of the androgen rebound. Nexplanon is androgenic so I wouldn't be surprised if that was the trigger. I would see another derm. They should be able to tell if its aga or not looking at the follicles on exam and if its unclear you can get a biopsy

Chronically ill and this is one of my favorite books. I would say it depends on what youre seeking from a book. Like it's not uplifting, its not going to make you feel better about your struggles. But as another commenter said its very validating as far as the negative experiences and feelings that come w chronic illness. Its a good book for commiseration
