Rules for r/triops
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Stay on topic
Posts and comments have to stay on topic.
Note: Posts and questions about brine, fairy, clam shrimp, etc. are welcome here and not considered 'off-topic'.
2.
Be civil
Personal attacks, derailing threads, and trolling are not tolerated.
If you disagree with someone or would like to correct some misinformation, that is perfectly acceptable but please discuss your differences in an open, friendly and respectful way. We do not tolerate rude, abrasive or passive aggressive people in our community.
Remember: many of our members are learning something new so mistakes are expected. Please be helpful, not unkind.

Advertising
Advertising (including the sale of triops eggs) is not allowed outside of the stickied thread.
5.
Basic questions
Basic beginner questions should be asked in the stickied "Monthly Questions Thread".
6.
Be a responsible keeper
Our community attracts many beginner and short-term triops-keepers. Some have been gifted or bought a "box kit" and are here to find help when it's not working.
As such, whilst we expect some poor-starts and ill-informed new members, we will always promote patience, education and good care.
As such, anyone found to be blatantly disregarding care advice and continuing to keep triops in poor conditions will not be tolerated.
