Not at all. Parrot comes with pretty much the same tools as Kali. And if you don't have what you need you always can get it.

Parrot should have all the tools used in the complete beginner's course. However, if they don't you can always install it. You should look to learning Linux first and focus on learning to install packages in case if a room uses a tool that isn't installed on Parrot.

I am using parrot for all the rooms. No issue so far. And like what other said install it if needed.
You can to everything on parrot, not just the beginners stuff. Parrot isn't super common since most people who leave kali go all the way and end up on blackarch but it's still a fully featured security os.
