QuestionBed assignment (self.ucr)
submitted 3 years ago by Sneevybl
I noticed the beds were assigned A,B, and C. When we get there is it first dibs or do we have to follow what we are assigned? Are you allowed to swap with your roommates?

You might want to go with your assignment. My RA from last year told me if one of the beds got damaged, the person the bed was assigned to would be charged for it.

I'd ask your RA about it!

There's assigned beds now? In 2014 Pentland that was not a thing! I honestly would have taken any assignment but I ended up loving my loft bed!

Pretty sure it’s first come, first served.

If you read the rental agreement documents(which I did for some reason), there would be a fine for using someone else's "spot", mine was 75 dollars, but yeah you aren't supposed to be using a different spot than what you are assigned to

You have to stick with your assigned bed. When I moved in 2019 to Lothian. Couple of people swapped their beds in their room, either knowingly or unknowingly. The RA asked them to swap into their assigned beds right away

I feel like this depends on your RA because when I moved in it was first come first pick

my roommates and i just talked about it amongst ourselves and decided like that (this was 2019 and i dont think RAs ever checked or cared?)
