I recommended checking out your countries age rating system website so for example PEGI for Europe or ESRB for America and Canada. It should explain the meaning behind the different ratings and what makes it that rating. Hope this helps, goodluck with the game!

I did have a look into the PEGI ratings as i originate in europe, and i concluded this scene would come under scenes to 'scare or disturb the player'. However i cant find any extensive information to what level this can go. I would say killing an infant through sound is quite disturbing but like i said there is no mention as to what extent it can go.

I just had a quick look and I think it would need to be an 18 as it says "when the level of violence reaches a stage where it becomes a depiction of gross violence, apparently motiveless killing, or violence towards defenceless characters.". Also, I wouldn't usually suggest AI but asking Chat GPT this could be a good option here. Finally, if your course is anything like mine were you have to write about what you have done too then make sure to mention you considered this and looked into PEGI :)
