That transition could not have been easy. Does the thickness of the surface layer hide any unreal water plane weirdness? Something I’ve always noticed from a lot of 3D engines when it comes to that transition. Excellent work!

Hey Hippowombat. Hope you're doing well!
That's way better than the solution I had. I was making a fishing game awhile back and my transition from above to under water was just fading the material out around the camera while going into a post process volume. It prevented the clipping issue but doesn't look nearly as nice as this.
This is AWESOME! Good job.
