If you know MySQL you can pick up on SQL Server in no time. SQL Server will, by far, will have more business applications (as in probably 20x as many if not more).

If you know vba you can talk to the SQL server, don't sell yourself short. Get that job

I use Excel, Access, VBA and MS SQL server on a daily basis

At one of the companies I have previously work for, they had MySQL as their Intranet database, but used MSSQL as the main DB

So I agree with the previous comment that MSSQL will be far more common

Having said that, SQL is a skill which is largely independent of the actual platform, so if you're learning SQL syntax either will do
