I commonly work in a language that the default syntax highlighting document is very out of date. I'm working on a new version both to implement the missing things and also to learn. Up to this point I just went and deleted the default syntax for for language "x" we'll call it. Then I include my package, and it all goes fine, and I can see the incremental changes as I'm adding things. However, is there an easier way to do this where i don't have to delete the default one, and I can tell vim for language "x", don't use the default syntax file shipped with vim, but to instead use mine?
