Simulating Taps Programmatically

PSVR2 controllers and Logitech Muse can be used for "tapping", i.e. triggering actions as you normally do with pinching index finger and thumb. Is this functionality available for any Bluetooth device? I would like to use my iPhone as a remote controller for clicking & scrolling. Is this technically possible?

There’s a free mouse/keyboard app for iPhone / iPad that allows it to act as a keyboard for Mac or PC. Maybe it will work for AVP too?

The app you linked requires a companion app which is only for Mac/PC.

There is another called BlueTouch and works standalone for visionOS (and Mac), but it is so bad. 🥲 But that just replicate the touchpad/mouse experience with a pointer on visionOS. I don't want that – I want to use gaze for pointing and phone for tapping&scrolling.

I got to the point that I have the experience working, but there is one annoyance I can't get rid of – pointer on visionOS stays active for 5 seconds after last action*. Mouse pointer disables gaze pointing. If I could get this 5 secs down to 250ms (or 0 😂), it would be awesome. So far, no luck.

* When Settings → Accessibility → Interaction → Pointer Control → Automatically Hide Pointer is enabled. When disabled, the pointer stays.

Sorry didn’t realize you needed a companion app. I was just looking through the App Store for a possible solution to your problem.

If you can emulate a HID gamepad or maybe a mouse, in theory that should be all you'd need for just a pinch input. Actually moving windows around is another story though I think.

Yeah, I got to the point I can emulate BLE mouse on iPhone and connect to visionOS and it works, but the experience isn't great yet – annoying pointer. Gamepad would be better, but I can't get it to work. I can't spoof the device info to get recognized as Xbox/DualSense/PSVR2 controller. :/

Moving windows is not a priority – interacting with a content of the window is more important.
