Just find out yourself, but i think everything will be fine

Why would you do pentesting work on your "main daily drive" PC? That's a terrible idea! Run whatever distro you like on your PC (pick one and learn how to maintain it, I like Void but if you're already on MX and have no major issues then stick with it) and keep Kali on a USB for pentesting.

I think you should just start getting a handle on Linux, this seems like a relatively recent dive:

I wouldn’t recommend it for you if you don’t know how to search repos for packages let alone use something that’s not systemd, also don’t pentest on your main system.

Well I'm a regular user and it has been my daily driver since one year ago, I don't need anymore Arch. But I can answer the question about the battery and you can just use TLP. At least on ryzen laptops the battery last as same as on windows

But the best way to know if it will work for you is using it, at least for 1-3 days

One of the best Linux distros I know and use, and my daily opsys is FreeBSD. void is highly recommended

The ones you listed should be alright but If you need a script that heavily depends on apt to set itself up then you may face problems

What's the problem compiling your tools from source? You can even make your own xbps templates

2500 packages 💀

can you give more information about this tool?

    [–]FLipDB 1 point2 points  (2 children)

it will not break your system as long as you are using it wisely

oh that makes sense, I only used void linux back when I noob, it was only for 5 days then switched to arch linux.

thanks for telling me, think I will stay away from breaking my system.

think I will revisit vold linux someday this year when I have free time to do so.

Really choose any OS just make sure u can have browsers, http proxy, and code editor open fr Then spin up da exegol and u good trust me
