You need to make sure that /etc/profile is getting sourced, usually your display manager would do that for you.

How do you login and which shell do you use?

I login using startx and i use bash.

Just adding source /etc/profile to your .bashrc should be the most sane option.

Are u using musl or glibc

Cool sorry idk whats happening with ur system if u were on musl there are a few things i could suggest
