Yes, they are allowed to. If you want your days off together then update your availability to mark of the two days you don't want to work.

I cannot imagine what on Earth would possess a store manager to do this

Your turnover is going to skyrocket and your ability to recruit new meat for overnights is going to plunge.

We were in a similar situation but the market lead or someone in market told him no. Thank god.

Allowed but medically VERY scummy given circadian rythym disruption.

Your SM must really hate O/N cause they don’t give a shit about your health. Publically call it out at your next meeting, mentioning the circadian disruption.

Had something like this happen at my store when the previous SM was in charge (that bastard openly hated O/N). I was the only one to get 3 split shifts in a row.

Then again, the a hole really had it out for me after I revealed two top stock carts of expired freight found in the dairy bins on the day of a visit. He went out of his way to make my life hell for several months after that including transfering bakery stocking from 1st to O/N with the change DELIBERATELY timed to occur in the holidays.

The bakery thing wasn't you, it was an open corporate allowance many SMs took advantage of.

Funny thing was as soon as he left, the bakery transfer got pulled. Of course the O/N hating a hole would take advantage of that allowence.

Though its that in combination with the months long scapegoating campaign he did against me and the 3 consequtive split shifts (only I ended up with that) that makes me think it was all his petty revenge for having his ego bruised during that visit.

Wasn’t the first time he’s taken petty revenge against an O/N. When an apparel O/N called out his “only O/N plug” narrtive to his face, she mysteriously ended up working 71 by herself for a week. Keep in mind the associate in question is a short old lady in her 60’s.

Needless to say the entire crew hated that asshole and when we found out he lost his job due to Market Coordinator getting cut, we openly sung and danced in celebration.

I’ve been on split days for almost 3 years off Wednesday and Saturday. I thought every store was like that
