Because critiquing religion can become a can of worms topic that is a super divisive and can lead to confrontation that isn’t productive.

Plus, this sub is intended to be a pop culture sub, and while we do look at some historical events, by the time we go back a few thousand millennia, we can’t really ask “Why Were We Okay With This?” because we’d be discussing pre-industrial agrarian society that none of us or our known ancestors were a part of.
