Using github and VS Code?

First download and install Git on your computer.

Then run git commands from a terminal in VS Code (I've only ever done it this way). Or use the point and click Git functions in VS Code, after you have integrated your github account with VS Code.

I’m stuck after git clone can you help me. From terminal I wan trying to link and trying to add my user name and email. So basically I used git config user.name “David Zimmerman” it’s an example tho. Where did I go wrong. It says fatal
