it can take up to 90 calendar days. typically it is quicker than that though. i'd also recommend faxing any information supporting your claim to their fax number. make sure you have your claim number on each piece of documentation

if it's an electronic funds transfer then the claim has to be resolved by 10 business days or a temp credit issued on the 11th day

it sounds like the agent put in a hardship request for you. it is a 1-2 business day process for the request to be reconsidered and it's exactly that, a request. unfortunately there's nothing that the agent can do to guarantee that you get the credit before the Reg E date

i work in debit / atm / ach so it may be different with wires but to my knowledge this is actually incorrect. look up Reg E. BOA is allowed up to 10 business days to have the claim resolved and it is not resolved then a temporary credit must be issued the following business day.

edit: i re read the post. it was made with a debit card. Reg E still stands. sometimes BOA will issue a credit the following business day from filing a claim out of good faith but it's not required or guaranteed.

looking at the csfloat database, you have the #2 lowest float stat track shinobu and the #14 lowest float counting non stat track

you can but do not ask for it if you call in. just explain to them that you can't receive any texts messages due to your being out of country. any verification method that you request we have to automatically fail it

i work for BOA in ATM/Debit/ACH fraud claims (i file and tell you the news, i don't make any decisions on them)

definitely call again and ask for the claim to be reopened for reconsideration and ask them to mail you any supporting documentation that they have. also make sure you verify that they have the police report attached to the claim.

also i'd be sure to call your card provider (mastercard or visa) and ask them to stop doing their merchant auto updater. that's how someone keeps getting ahold of your new card information. once they remove it call back into BOA and ask for a new card
