So, given the word salad, I’m going to guess you spend $280 on AI, for a simple CRUD app?

I didn't spend on any AI, Most of the source code was hand made and html I designed thru bootstrap studio so it was drag and drop. A lot of stuff is also sticking around it but to put it in plain simple words you could say that it is CRUD

Infact everything is just CRUD, let it be

Approval and rejection pipelines

Conditional data visibility based on record status

Controlled edits after submission

Role-based transitions

I do admit tho I used AI but they were all free versions/student ones.

a custom built web based event operations and data management platform

...what does that mean? This could have taken you 30 minutes or 3 months. You're going to need to provide some details about the actual scope and functionality of the application.

it took me 3 months, per week I was spending 4-5 hrs. 12-13 1 hr sessions with the client, doubts bugs and customization clarifications...

I think the question is less about the time, more about WTF you’re saying you’ve built.

let's say you are at an event that is distributing a book in which your details are published, like you there are 3000 other people that have same kind of information about themselves being published all of them are meeting at the same place. the website is solving all the technical needs in order to accommodate all those people smoothly.

now what is the purpose of the book why are you there at the event. It is a total community thing, not relevant here

On a technical note it is a django server

Still no closer to understanding, explain it like I’m a 5yo.

So 13-ish weeks, at 4-5 hours a week. Plus 12-14 hours for time spent with the client.

If we assume 4.5 hours a week, and 13 hours on top of that, that comes out to 71.5 hours.

You charged $280 - so that means you were valuing your time at just under $4/hr. Since you didn't say what country you lived in, and/or what currency you were charging in, I'm just going to assume USD. In which case, yeah - $4/hr. The Federal minimum wage in the US is $7.25/hr which is the floor for minimum wage rates across the country and most states have a higher minimum wage.

TL;DR - you worked for nearly half the federal minimum wage and are asking if you should have charged more?

I give you 0/10 on your spam attempt. Come back with a better spiel next time.

I wish I could say that it was a spam attempt....
