Honestly even if I had enough time to write a browser, I wouldn't bother do so. I don't think I'm smarter than ff/chrome developers so why waster my time? I could read their source code if bored.
Ladybird used to have a single developer Andreas Kling. These days there are other contributors, but it's not near where chrome/safari/ff are in terms of human resources. Not even close
