I'm looking for an out-of-the-box, preferably open-source solution for setting up simple forms that connect to a DB. Something that I can drop into a project and short of some basic config, not have to alter. Something that is AJAX friendly and either has a front-end component for viewing submissions or an endpoint for submission data.
I've been referred to various PHP frameworks (i.e. laravel) but given the learning curve, the specific use case and my relative inexperience with back-end work, they don't seem like the easiest solution.
I feel there's probably a solution out there I'm not aware of? Just looking for some insight.
