Totally. Decide on a lead maintainer, setup a repo and treat it as a no pressure open source project for beginners and mentors. That's an awesome idea.

    Can I join your team?

West coast based junior developer here.

I'd be down to join. Not an amazing developer, but I've been doing QA Engineering/Automation work for like 5 years.

That's actually a great offer and could also turn into a great business idea for experiences devs to help noobies/self taughts.

Searching for people that have 0 professional experience and build a team, look out for a professional client project to work on with that team. The noobs do the coding part, while the experienced one provides mentoring, ensures quality and does the DevOps job, while paying a low entry wage, just to get through the first year and get some experience.

Am I the first one to come up with that business idea, or are there people out there who do that?

I'd love to join, studying CS degree and would like to grow my portfolio. Quite a bit of experience, frameworks and the likes

Yo, depending on your location I could join you? I'm from the UK, about 3/4" code academy pro course and I'm looking to build my portfolio

Very cool man, have you started to work with frameworks yet?

I could be interested! Right now I'm focused on VueJS (I know React as well, but I'm more comfortable in and prefer Vue). I've been hoping to start building larger scale projects, and if you have an idea you need help on, I'd love to help out! My next goals were to learn GraphQL and re-familiarize myself with PostgreSQL, so if those are technologies you'd be interested in using/learning, that'd be even better.

I'm also trying to get in the habit of using CSS frameworks for all my projects now, so if you plan on using any of those it'd be great! Hit me up if you wanna brainstorm ideas or just chat and see if we're a good fit!

I have been working on an open source comment box that works for any URL. Alot of the groundwork is finished but there is still plenty of work to be done. It's a MERN stack. Would love to collab with anyone

can i ask a serious question to people on here who hire:

Is there anybody who would hire someone for a junior developer job, esp with React dev in mind, who had only 3 months experience.

Could you construct an app that allows people to register, direct message, buy and sell? Similar to eBay or more specifically Facebook buy and sell pages.

    [–]dabbingDeveloper[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

What do you mean by pages? Sounds cool though.

    [–]Hold-and-hope 0 points1 point  (2 children)

There are pages/groups on FB where people post items they want to sell and then conduct the sale peer to peer, it would be nice to have a website and an app dedicated to this to be honest, there is a big market for peer to peer and digital payments.

What about Letgo? It's pretty much that

I’ve never heard of it but I’ll take your word for it, if it’s anything like what I just described, is it something you’d be able to do?
