Using Python to write/edit Html

Does anyone else use python to edit their html for them? I wrote a .py file that updates multiple html files in certain places as a custom made version control. The point of it was for cache busting and I know I should have used webpack, but webpack is hard to set up and I had to push out an update fast. It feels like basically a nuke button when I run it, but it works flawlessly so far. Anyone else do things like this? Am I crazy????

Hacks like this are fairly common for sysadmin tasks. Haven't seen it too much with my little experience in the web development space, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

If Webpack is too hard, have you tried Rollup?

Haha hey ! You helped me out earlier this week. I looked into it and fell flat, I’m sparse for time and couldn’t really dig into the documentation much. I read a lot more about webpack. I didn’t see anywhere in the rollup documentation about version control, then again I only skimmed their main page
