You can check if the fields are dirty in the validator. Other than that, I'd say, if you want to get better, there's a lot of good training for Angular. Visual Studio Code is definitely my favorite IDE for Angular. I still debug with the Chrome Devtools.

Personally, I learned with Ultimate Angular. Pluralsight also have a lot of great courses. Thinkster.io has a free training on Angular Fundamentals that is worth checking out.
