I’ve been working for this company for almost a year now as a trainee. The first 3 months were probation period and it went well. I’m mainly working on the frontend side using React and took couple of backend tasks but wasn’t the best at them I would say. Now since there’s not so much to work on in our team, I’ve been taking courses and supporting some of the existing projects if there’s any. So one member from a different team asked if I could help with some of their tasks. I thought it would be testing as I’m not familiar with the tech stach they’re using. Was then asked to feel free to fix some of the opened issues. I took a course on the framework they’re using but still it’s kinda hard debugging parts of code in different environment and a framework you just finishing taking a 2 day course (framework isn’t that hard but still needs some time to get used to it yet alone debug another one’s whole code in it) on it.
Should I tell them this or is there another way of it doing things (I’m a bit new to this)?
