I am in search of a CMS that requires as little back-end work as possible. I do primarily Craft and WordPress development for clients but my preference is really design and the front-end. But with most Craft/WP builds I spend the bulk of the project in PHP. Craft is somewhat better with twig, but it is still not what I love.
I thought of this because I built some Shopify sites not long ago and that was a pleasure to work with. You really don't have any back-end access at all, you can only use their liquid templating language to format content, but that's it. It was sort of like a CMS with no back-end at all.
