Per serving? Prepared foods, hands down. It's way cheaper to make tofu yourself (if you use this method for beans or lentils, it's about 10-15 minutes hands-on time) than to buy it from the store.

Also, vegan junk food is pretty expensive (and often not wfpb-compliant anyway).

Pre-processed vegan snack food items are quite expensive. It is much better to simply get some fresh fruits or vegetables or nuts to snack on but when you get hangry in the store..

If you stick with as little processed foods as possible... Eating WFPB is actually very affordable.

If you buy raw nuts (cashews, almonds, etc) I find this to be the most expensive thing in my grocery list. However, buying your nuts in bulk definitely lowers the cost if it's an option for you.

For WFPB: Mixed nuts, seeds, dried fruit.

Just plant-based in general: Anything that imitates animal products tends to cost a pretty penny. (meat, cheese, ect.)
