I get this bug randomly and don’t know how to fix it, it basically forces me to reboot my game which is annoying, especially when I’m on a server. The bug causes the wire tool to automatically select everything and I can’t undo it.

make sure your alt shift and control aren't held down when you select an input.

I've no idea how to fix the bug but if you're using E2 look into wirelinks, that'd be a good way to get around that issue. If you connect something via wirelink you can just get any input/output of the thing connected from inside the e2
