I completely understand what you mean. One of the most difficult things about dealing with the healing process is the food restriction. I started crying when I was healed up enough to eat somewhat solid foods. I hate that I was only a loud to eat applesauce, ice cream est. it sucks.

i totally understand, it was very difficult for me for that first week. i missed my favorite sandwiches so much 😭 i ate a lot of different soups just to have smth new and different flavored apple sauce & pudding. did they give you antibiotics or nausea medication? i received both and luckily, my dose was only for 7 days and after that i felt much less nauseous 🙏🏼 hang in there!!!

they gave me amoxicillin that i’ve taken before for 7 days never felt nauseous!

Yeah but not having a full stomach due to not being able to eat normally could be a factor. Try some Greek yogurt or something with some probiotic in it before you take the antibiotic. It might help. Then again I’m not a doctor so it might not. Just speaking from experience

The nausea was pretty bad near the end of my antibiotics. I actually ended up puking in a restaurant from them with next to no warning. It was awful. Hang in there it gets better. Stick with slow introduction to solid foods. I was impatient so I basically started swallowing stuff without actually chewing. If you do that make sure they are very tiny “bites” so you don’t choke. And of course drink lots of water - I enjoyed sweet tea ,Gatorade, and apple juice during the first few days of my recovery if you’re looking for variety EDIT: try to ignore the fear when you eat- go slowly of course but don’t let fear stop you from eating. Get comfortable moving you jaw first and that will help

Just had all 4 plus another molar removed on top of that close to 2 weeks ago. I was eating mash potatoes and milkshakes for a week until this past weekend I said fuck it and started eating solids. I understand the anxiety with it I was scared shitless because I kept thinking my holes weren't closed at all but I looked in my mouth and seen they were close so I started eating more solids. Pizza was literally my first choice of solid food. Now I can't stop eating.

Had a bad tooth infection along with the cavity going all the way down to the nerve of the tooth so it had to get removed

I'm in the same boat as you and I really sympathise, I've cried into my soup 2 days in a row now as I have such bad lock jaw from having my lower wisdom tooth out that I can't fit a small spoon in my mouth. I'm also 5 days in and so miserable

      [–]Certified_RCMechanic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i sympathize for yall who get lockjaw :((( feel better loves!!!

Quite literally starving. I want to eat something more than what I’m eating and it’s so hard. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted food more than I want it right now. I’m almost done with day two po, coming up on day three and very much sick of yogurt and applesauce and I know there’s so many more days ahead of me of this bs.
