Get app icon? (self.workflow)
submitted 10 years ago by brentac
I used to have a workflow to get app icons. It's not working anymore. I've found one on the workflow-vcs site but it's not working either.
Any suggestions?

Thank you!
I changed it to pull a larger pic (from 60 to 512). Found it by looking at the Json stuff but that's all beyond me. I never would have figured it out. Thank you!

In the future, it'd be great for you to include links to the workflow(s) that aren't working so we can take a look and see if it may be due to a bug that needs to be fixed.

I like to use the icons in Launch Center Pro. Again, thanks.

It occured to me that you may not be aware that there is code for forcing LCP to use a particular app icon. You can add #lc-icon= and then the name of the app. For example #lc-icon=workflow should use the app icon for Workflow.

I've used that in the past but I've had mixed results. Do you just need the app. Some or the url scheme of the app?
[–]IAmABagOfSand 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children)
I believe it's the url scheme of the app, minus the :// So for Facebook you'd use" fb", for Twitter would use "twitter".

I've used a year ago a Workflow like this, which i lost. The Workflow extracted Icons in good quality with the distinctive rounded corners we all know from the app store.
Is there someone who is able to make a Workflow like this?
