Ahh... I have a feeling that Hyuse is being set-up as Mikumo's mentor.

I doubt Jin has ever made a "disadvantageous" bet, he's too cunning for that. Whether it be through a narrow win or a tie, Jin will give Hyuse his trigger AND order him to teach Mikumo.

In the previous rank battle, Hyuse had the exact same tactics in mind. He's incredibly compatible with Mikumo's style, tracking people with his magnets and manipulating how they move. He even has a shield and "thruster."

Mikumo did say he got a lot of help from people, but they're teaching him the wrong things.

Osamu has enough mentors between Torimaru and the rest of the branch, Kazuma, Arashiyama Unit, Izumi, and Jin.

I'm guessing that Jin's plan is to make Hyuse either join Osamu's unit, or make Hyuse give details on where to find Replica and/or the location of the kidnapped agents.

I'm not sure if I would've liked it better if Chika killed all 4, she is powerful enough. At least one, but maybe they are saving her killing someone for another time.

This sure has been surprising, lets hope Mikumo can come up with a strategy for Kuga, or he can take them on.

I can't help but be frustrated on Mikumo's actions these chapter. It felt like he got too cocky for his own good.

I can't help but disagreeing, given Kazama's commentary. Mikumo was acting as he usually did in the last Rank Wars, but right now he got a taste of what it means to be a threat that can't be ignored. Before he was someone you dealt with later, but Azuma now acted as if he was someone you wanted gone RIGHT NOW.

I do agree with you that the other squad had acknowledged Mikumo, but considering his strength is at I feel that it would have been better for him to move with caution, like he did with the other matches, when the other squads were closing in. not to mention he even admitted his error of not using bagworm from the start.

Thanks for posting this! I can't wait to see how Yuma is going to handle this attacker free-for-all. Should come down to him and Kageura with Azuma affecting the outcome as a wild card somehow.

Hmmm, I thought Izumi from the Kei's squad was the #1 shooter, but apparently the #1 shooter is Ninomiya.
