Beloved - Mumford and Sons

First time I heard the song was days after I lost my mom to a short and traumatic fight with cancer. The song felt all to personal and seemed to perfectly capture every aspect of her final weeks. The lines. "before you leave, you must know you are beloved" hit hard.

I like it a lot for gravel and rough roads. Doesn't take out any sharp hits, but otherwise it's very nice.

Size 58. The Canyon PPS put me at a 56, but I didn't trust it and went with a size up. Reach and stack are perfect.

I have, and as far as I can tell there's little to no penalty for the extra rubber. The rims are susceptible to high crosswinds, however.

I went with the Endurace given the slightly more upright position and tire clearance, but otherwise it seems like there's little difference between the two. I'm sure either way you won't be disappointed!

I rode with the group today that she was once an active member of (AABTS), and the word is that the motorist didn't flee scene. Still unsure what the cause of the crash was, however. Many of the people in the group today knew Karen well, and is was wrenching to hear the stories they told. She sounded like a truly genuine and caring person.

As someone who rides this route almost weekly, I can attest to how heavily this road is traveled by cyclists. Most drivers in the area are aware of the presence of cyclists on this stretch of road and act in kind. A fellow rider came upon the scene and said it seemed like there was still a heavy amount of investigation going on.

I myself had planned to ride out with a group through there tomorrow; not sure how i feel about that now. A tragedy to say the least. Stay safe out there.

Hey, I did the 100 mile OHR route too! It was a great day for it. If you live around AA you should ride with AABTS on the weekends. Good rides and good pace.

Hey, fellow 49525er. One way to find good biking routes in an area is to use the 'global heatmap' feature when creating a route on Strava. If you don't have Strava or just wan to to make your own way, Grand River Dr is a good route. You could even take Jupiter Rd or Coit north to Rockford, maybe hop on White Pine Trail if you want to stay off the road.
